Organic Cotton 100% Ribbed Socks|7-5007
The Art of Natural Dyeing
Crafted by our century-old Nara factory, these socks are knitted exclusively from organic cotton, omitting the synthetic elastic "backing" yarns found in standard hosiery. The fine-gauge rib design provides a secure yet non-constricting fit that stays in place while offering a remarkably soft, breathable feel against the skin.
We offer three distinct colorways, each utilizing traditional Japanese botanical dyeing techniques:
<Natural × Indigo (Aizome)>
Dyed using Ten-nen Hakko-date (natural fermentation), a heritage method used for centuries in Japanese workwear. This authentic Indigo is prized not only for its deep blue hue but also for its natural antibacterial, insect-repellent, and deodorizing properties.
<Green × Iron Mordant>
Organic green cotton is naturally prone to fading under sunlight. By applying an iron mordant—a classic technique in botanical dyeing—we have stabilized the fiber to create a unique, enduring earthy tone that balances durability with natural beauty.
<Natural Black × Gallnut (Gobaishi)>
This deep, sophisticated gray is achieved using Gobaishi (tannin-rich growths from the sumac tree). Beyond its aesthetic depth, this dye meets JIS-standard antibacterial requirements, ensuring your feet remain fresh and comfortable throughout the day.

- ・Use a maximum water temperature of 30°C, and if using a washing machine, place the socks in a laundry net. (Hand washing is recommended for natural materials such as animal hair, silk, and linen.) When placing the socks in a laundry net, turning them inside out will help remove dirt such as sweat and sebum.
・It is best to hang dry in the shade.
・It is best to avoid using bleach, a dryer, dry cleaning, or ironing (as these can cause discoloration and loss of shape).
