Care Guide — Sugano ORGANIC

Washing Instructions

Organic cotton is a delicate natural material grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, honoring nature's natural balance. Items with natural plant dyes will naturally shift in tone over time. Please enjoy watching your unique piece evolve with age.

Detergents

We recommend using additive-free, natural laundry soaps. Because our garments are made without harsh chemicals to remain gentle on the skin, using mild detergents without unnecessary ingredients helps preserve their pure texture and ensures long-lasting comfort.

Bleach & Fabric Softeners

Please avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, as they can damage organic cotton fibers and reduce their natural absorbency. With regular washing, the cotton naturally softens and becomes softer and fluffier over time.

Drying

Line-dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area away from direct sunlight. Direct sunlight and tumble dryers can weaken fibers and cause shrinkage or damage. Air-drying naturally preserves the garment's comfortable feel.

Care for Green (Naturally Colored Cotton) Products

Products made with natural green cotton are particularly prone to fading; some items may already show natural color variations upon delivery. This is an authentic feature of untreated natural cotton.

If the color fades, you can easily restore its vibrant green hue using baking soda:

  1. Fill a basin or bowl with water.

  2. Add a pinch of baking soda (sodium bicarbonate) and stir until fully dissolved.

  3. Soak the garment in the solution for 1 to 2 hours.

Note on Cotton Flecks

Because our cotton undergoes no chemical processing, you may notice tiny natural cotton flecks (remnants of the plant) on the fabric. These will naturally wash out over time.
